I wrote the top poem a bit under a year ago.

The next one I wrote very recently, about the same person.

It’s funny how things can change.

I still have feelings for her.

But, she’s happy and moved on.

I should too.

Right?

I never thought it would be this hard

To let you go once and for all

If I could only go back in time

A year from now

When everything was fine

Talking on the phone all night

With nothing much to say

But I’d still tell you everything on my mind

I guess this is where this ends

I’ve got my life and you’ve got yours

That’s the way it’s gotta be

But still I miss you

It gets harder every day

It’s still not easy to be happy for you

I let my life go to ruin

And that’s how I lost you

I didn’t know what I had

Till the day you were gone

Now I’ve got my life back

But I can’t find you in it
